Just remember that stitches won't be able to have very detailed images. So real patches won't look much like the pics unless they are really simple shapes. That's why I'd go toward the simpler fleur de lis designs. Or maybe the state with the sword in a very basic style.

Ok I guess I will be the first one to venture out there and say something again
I think we should split it up
like we make a shape category,
a main design category, and
a slogan/ words category
etc. etc.
and then we vote on them and draw it out and see what it looks like

I don't think it really needs a slogan. It has a really nice look in right now. But if we come up with some official/unofficial ASLA slogan or motto, then I'd be down with that.
