Yeah I can imagine them doing something like that. They're definitely cheap, but the one thing they had going for them was that they were inexpensive. Now they've gone through some pretty serious price hikes.
For example the DE UMP is the crappy extra stuff it comes with used to be $99, which it still is on AirsoftGI.com, but now it's $140! Why would anyone pay that much for a low-quality AEG?
They do have a couple good things going for them.
1. They recently went through a site revamp, which might be an external sign of a bigger turn around
2. They'll often name things in an easier way to search for them, (ie. the G&G UMG is also has UMP in it's title to tag what it's
really called) which allows you to search for a specific style of gun easier
3. They have a gamer's guide. You can look up what airsoft guns correlate to their video game counterparts in many popular games like COD, Battlefield 2, Rainbox Six, and Combat Arms.
Airsplat.com might be a useful tool for
finding the airsoft gun you want to buy, but it's probably not a good website for purchase it from.
Just my honest opinion; correct me if I'm wrong, and I'll gladly accept cookies if I'm right.
